Connie do you only get them when your back goes out? My dr fills a prescription each month of both, I have oh 90 around at any point b/c I only take them when I need them but they know I have to have them if I am in pain..

Yeah, only when it happens. I had not had this much pain until feb I lifted some firewood and reinjured that 5th lumbar that is out of line. I was in so much pain then that I went to the e.r. and I could barely get there. And then this time I just called my doc and they phoned in these two. It happens so rarely I don't keep anything on hand. Just has happened twice recently.

well at least you only had to call, that's helpful.. here they make us go in if it's been over 6 mos... the first time it happened I could hardly walk, I went to work and 2 of my assistants turned me around and drove me to right to the dr's..

Oh when I went to the e.r. in Feb, they had to meet me outside with a wheelchair. And it would have been the same thing this time if my doc hadn't phoned these in.

have you gone to a specialist? last year I was getting epidurals in my vertebre and it helped a lot.. now I just live with the pain and try to be careful b/c well I got sick of going to physical therapy all the time...

I did back when I first hurt it. 1988. They said I needed to have that 5th lumbar fused back into place surgically which I did not want to do if I didn't have to. Eventually the chronic pain went away and I just have to be careful about lifting.

Yes, I see I did, bou I left the one "O" out to make that soon! And that is without pain medication! TN thing I guess!!
