Hiding behind my words and pen
Swearing I will never let anyone in again
Cursing myself for being so weak
Reaching out yet again
Leaning on my friends
Weeping softly in the night
Searching for what is right
Looking out my window
Seeing the world
Stepping out my door
Running through the fields once more
Opening my heart
Letting the light shine from within
Breaking free from prison once again
Leaping to the sky
Flying on gossamer wing
Listen as I sing
I will come back again
Granting me serenity
Finding the keys
Unlocking the vault
Realizing its not my fault
Grown tired of asking why
Simply being as I fly
