With the desirable glance presented me you got the job.
I’ve seen more than enough smiling faces to know not to question these odds.
The price you pay for the fame and sudden loss of privacy living life large like Dallas or Dynasty.

Minus the element of riches & sexual scandal every situation wasn’t meant for us to handle.
With fire riding shotgun every spot we burn.
Youth sparks flame lighting up the path as we learn.
Don the cap of intelligence dispute those clouded with irreverence.
Each one teaches one and refrains from weak petulance.

Not a circumstance I can imagine that would keep me from my destiny.
Blessings given to me in this life are more than enough so I can share.
Those with portentous attitudes always amount to less than they can be.
Sometimes I speak in tongues when my emotions are submerged in despair.

Distributing all of my energy to places where hope is in short supply.
I leave myself open as the ocean crashes upon the shore at high tide.
The hours seem to matter less while we march onward towards new beginnings.
Focused on 1 objective and that is to know true love before our endings.

It’s complicated for me to surrender my hearts forlorn ways.
At times I’m pitiful though ostensibly emotionally unscathed.
In reality I’ve been shattered like windows on a condemned building.
A mere serf on a sovereign field filled with Kings and Queens.
They’re cosseted by armed guards in heavy metal shielding.
While engrossed in my fear I brush off insecurities that your desirable glance brings.

Wow-here's hoping the view from your windows becomes crystal clear with the sun shining through
