Topic: How Young Is Too Young? | |
---|---|
In the past, I have dated much younger; found there was some major music differances. So learned to stay within 10 yrs of my own age, on the bottom of the scale & a lady's spirit/love of life, set the top, of the scale.

For me, I want a man I have something in common with. Grew up in same time period similar experiences, tastes, exposure to music etc etc so for me...a peer comtemporary be best. Prolly not younger than 10 years. I am 53 so maybe stretching to 43.
Just want someone that can understand how I gew up and what I experienced and be on basically same wave length. I really do NOT want to 'raise' a husband LOL Melody |

Personaly ... I will date just about anyone, older younger its really irrelevent. However, if I was to become seriously involved with someone I would much rather they be closer to my own age +/- 5-6 years. At least we are in the same head space and can relate much easier.

I dated a guy who was 11 yrs younger than me. He was really intelligent and funny, but was still in the me me me phase. Could be his age, or just his personality, but it made me realize I need a real man who has been there, seen that, and is ready to share.

Probably 45 (6 years younger) but depends on whether he had kids or not. I never had any and don't think I want to date anyone who's kids are still in school (college ok). Just don't want to be step mom if I ever remarry. Also don't want to deal with his ex where kids are concerned. Both my ex's are out of the picture so I don't have that baggage.

For me this a really tough question because I put age at the bottom of my "concern list" .I have dated 12 years younger and it was great .I went one year older and it was awful ,so who knows.
But I do think it is important that you keep it at your personal comfort level whatever that might be. |

Sadly, when its a boss, you don't have the luxery to just walk away. As far as the other person, I think most of them do not care how they come across, because they are only interested in how they feel and what they want. They can be very funny and great to have around short term, but unless someone likes being a door mat, things can't progress. |

I really don't know. I dated a woman once thirteen years younger and we got along fine. It just depends on the person and circumstances and I wouldn't want to judge in advance.
