No, unfortunately, love does not conquer all. It can do a lot, and it feels wonderful, and if it's with the right person, then it can get you through the rough times. There are not too many things that are as good as having a life companion....

People who have been together a long time will tell you that their lives are full of compromise and adjustments, which is normal. Love CAN conquer differences of opinion, different habits, etc. if the people involved put some effort into it.

Just a few things love CANNOT conquer: abuse, addiction, and sometimes adultery.

So when the Beatles sang "All you need is love" it wasn't true, imho. You also need understanding, patience, resilience, kindness, respect, just to name a few things...
