I could write a book but no time right now.
Dahlia is my lab mix.. got her in AZ in 2003 when she was just seven weeks old. Some Mexican girls were giving away puppies in front of the grocery store, and I just had to take her with me! she helped me drive on the way home to nashville. lol Kohl is my big Golden Ret. mix..(both pictured in my profile) I got him when he was four months old from Middle TN Golden Retriever Rescue, from a woman who was a foster parent for him. Annabelle, my white Persian, I got from a man who lived down the street from me who decided he didn't want her and couldnt' take care of her anymore. And Kashmir, she just wondered into my driveway once and no one came looking for her and she always came back, so I kept her. Little did I know at the time, but she was carrying five babies! I found homes for all of them. |

I have a minature zoo...In the habit of rescuing critters...
I love animals and my life is more complete with them, they give you undying love and such joy...I have two kinda funny stories... 1.I collect teddybears and have one very large one. One of my cats is totally freaked out by this teddy...She fuzzes all up, hisses, spits, and attacks it! Its halariouse to see...Needless to say- I had to put the teddy away because it was just driving her mad! 2.I had a ****atiel that used to call: here kitty kitty-and the cats would be looking around to see who was calling them. My conure parrot calls my one dogs name all the time and my dog will sit there and talk back to the bird. |

When I lived with my parents I had 6 cats (7 in all but one had a kidney
infection and had to be put down). They were my family, and I still have fond memories of them all. One of the best memories happened when I tried to slit my wrists one night. But for some reason, I kept cutting my upper arms. So there was a lot of blood and I was crying, not from pain but because I was in an emotion downward spiral. I thought I had my door closed, but the latch inside the doorknob never went into the hole on the door frame, so it would be pushed open easily. And as I was hurting myself a gray flash zoomed inside and hit the wall head on. I think maybe he tried to stop, but either way the wall won. The thud was so hard that the house shook, and he fell on his side like he had just been pushed. I thought he was dead at first until he looked at me, his eyes unfocused and **** eyed, and ran out again. I laughed so hard that my parents woke up to find my bloody self laughing at the cat. I had forgot that I was cutting while I was laughing my head off. I think God send that cat in there to help me, cause I'm sure I wouldn't be here if he didn't come charging in like an elephant. And the cat is fine now, hes turned into a fat gray fuzz ball who begs for food all the time! |
