Yeah. There's a lot of "recycled" threads around here. Some are nothing more than chat threads (as is the case here), while others have some specific topic that just keeps regurgitating.

Of course, there's also the threads that just keep coming back from other members for no reason at all. Instead of doing a search to see if a similarly-topic'd thread is in the forums, they'll start up an entirely new thread based on an incredibly old topic.

There doesn't need to be anything in the rules about "ongoing" threads.. There is nothing wrong with them... I don't consider it "cliques" it is different threads where some people choose to spend all or most of their time chit chatting about whatever with those that go into their threads...

Some people don't want to go into a specific thread every day so they either make their own threads with different thoughts/subjects or they go to different threads and post their comments..

My thread was started over about 18 mos ago by yellowrose and I merged it with my other thread where a bunch of people I knew all chit chatted... People come and go in my thread for various reasons.. We welcome all... We have boring nights where it's not much chatting or much going on and we have hopping nights with a lot of laughs and goofing off... All in all this has been a stable thread that we come to for talking, comfort, friends, etc.

I mostly stay here b/c there is no drama or very little.. A lot of strangers don't come here b/c they don't want to take the time to talk about nothingness or get to know everyone OR if it gets racy they may not like it that much..

you'll find a bunch of everything on M2 Billy, a few ongoing threads aren't what makes this site, it's all of the threads, new and old...

yes darlin' you can call me IP... I think that's great, I'm glad you like m2.. It used to be a lot busier and well more fun but so many have left.. You would have went wild with how it was before...

Yeah. Thread counts go up quite quickly out here, which is probably due to the overall activity on the forums and stuff.

Believe it or not, things were even BUSIER here in it's earlier incarnation (called "Just-Say-Hi"). But then it merged with another site and ended up getting called Mingle2, which resulted in a lot of members leaving for other pastures. The forums are now a mere shadow of what they once were.

Yeah. It's almost like some people have been caught in an infinite time loop of some kind (like what happened to Bill Murray in "Groundhog Day"), where they keep posting the exact same topic over and over and over and over and over...

And yeah- they'd probably get a wee bit miffed if you tried to mention that they just posted their "totally NOT recycled" thread for the trillionth time, too.

I like days like today. I worked for a few hours, then took a 4 hour lunch break and went to a picnic, then shopping.
