DrBogenbroom meet beanglas.

Beanglas meet DrBogenbroom.

The music knowledge of you 2 young people really impresses me. I sincerely mean this. You have both gotten ahold of music that will be with you the rest of your days.

It is not often that I run into people on here someone of your ages that have grasped the older "Classic Rock" and appreciate what the musicians from back then were trying to accomplish and they successfully did.

Today, most bands play from what is in their head, and not what is in their heart. There are exceptions to every rule.

It is a pleasure and an honor meeting both of you.

As Steve Marriott from Humble Pie would say: "Rock On".

Yes, I also do like some of today`s groups that are out there doing what they do best.

gotta agree with rara, you two know what it's all about!! and i have to say both my kids listened to led zeppelin when they were in the womb. whenever i say 'whose the greatest rock band of all times'... they heartly agree 'led zeppelin'. teach 'em young! flowerforyou

There ya go.drinker drinks

Both of my sons used to tell people, You ought to listen to what music I cut my teeth on.

I taught both of my sons how to play drums. Of course they only did their lessons with (Bonzo) Led Zeppelin.

As long as it is not the same boring cookie-monster vox, I can mosh it up with the most healthy of metal fans! And teach the "Karate-Kids" proper pit respect too.

A few of my "heavy" favs:

Luther Vandross
Meatloaf
Rosie Gaines
and, of course,
Barry White!!

Oh crap, I was just suppose to think that....SCRATCH THAT!!!

I enjoy a wide variety of Rock these days from Breaking Benjamin to Slipknot & American Head Charge. Listening to such a wide variety has really inspired me to up my playing of guitar! Some like 'em heavier than others,SO! The question remains! How heavy do you like your Rock?

From plain simple Rock to Heavy Rock.

That is to say from Dire Straits or Journey TO Iron Maiden!!!

smokin Led Zeppelin encompasses all hard rock ever needed to be, say, or do. Every hard rock band that's come along since has been derivative in some way. smokin

I don't mind heavy metal as long as I can understand what they are saying.

Otep
Theatre of Tragedy
Xandria
Straight Line Stitch
Death By Stereo
Rammstein

My taste leans more toward hard punk than death metal I think.

Ah yes. The pioneers of power Metal. Love their stuff.

But then again....I like Power Metal anyway.

Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Dragonforce ( love em or hate em you gotta give props for the guitar work ), Dark Moor...
