it's only funny because I really did get hit by a lady pushing a grocery
cart talking on the cell. :-(

It's not cell phones that should be banned. It's the bad drivers that
need to be banned. There are all kinds of distractions, as has been
mentioned.

This is one of those slippery slope situations. If you're gonna ban cell
phones, there are a lot of things just as bad. Are we gonna ban CD
players cause some guy has a wreck while trying to put one in? Or
map-reading, or swatting the kids in the back seat? They're all just as
dangerous as talking on a cell phone.

You can't pass laws against everything, all you can do is punish the
consequences, you can't prevent it all from happening. Unfortunately.

So very true,,, this is just still fresh in my mind so the issue hits
home hard,,,

In britain they did a study...they found that when cell phones were
banned...
sexual favors were among the most frequent distractions while driving...
