I'm on my way to banned for awhile. ahhhhhhhh.....handcuff yourself in here Anyway, on topic: "I guess I'm trying to find a way to meet new people who aren't creepy, way too old, and conceited." And yet, you are here...on the internet no less. It doesn't get easier online, hell, it is harder. Not only do you have to know them before you meet the next Dahmer or Gein but now you have to read into what they write, find the "white lies" in what they type...this is by far harder than doing that face to face, not only that but now you have the ability to cross-check them to other people...oh! Now it gets interesting, what do other people think of him/her, bad news? Asshole? Or, just maybe, he/she is perfect? As if perfection actually existed in mankind, right? There is absolutely no luxory to coming on a friendship/dating site that can't be equally enjoyed within the same perspective in the "outside" world. Only difference here is it is easier to drop someone off and not feel bad about it, probably what you have come across...we all have, either get used to it or hit the bar. |

Recap of argument: "I've been through hell in my life!" ahh...really? I don't care what you have been through, you are not starving to death like millions in Africa or dying from HIV at the age of eight. You were not working in a factory at 11 for pennies on a dollar, which was supposed to last you that entire day...that's right, here, have a nickel and make it through life on that wage. You don't have to dodge bullets, car bombs, or artillery. And furthermore, you don't have to deal with death constantly and all the while wondering when and if you will be next. You have the luxory of tomorrow, a lot of people do not. I'm not even going to bring to the table the lucrative amount of **** that has been handed to me in my short life, I won't even bother...I stand, I lived through it, and I will not use it as a bullet proof vest to those that want to shove their life around like a holy grail. I never said that what I've been through has anything to do with where I'm at in my life now. But for your information, I was in and out of shelter homes when I was little (which I was almost raped in one), my step dad physically abused me and my sister, but my mom wasn't as lucky as we were, my real dad was mentally abusive, I was raped by my brother for years (starting when I was 8), my oldest sister died of cancer, and that's just half of it. BUT, I am still standing tall, and I know there are people who have it FAR WORSE! And they are in my prayers every night. |

I never said that what I've been through has anything to do with where I'm at in my life now. BUT, I am still standing tall, and I know there are people who have it FAR WORSE! And they are in my prayers every night. Good, you are through the hard part. Life should be really easy from here on out, right? I was never raped nor sexually abused in any way, so it is not right of me to comment on that. And again, I will not bring to the table the lovely amount of bad things that have happened to me, I do not use them as a crutch. I learn, and I grow, and teach other's how to do the same...if I cannot teach other's to do the same, then I hope life teaches them before they die, otherwise they run the risk of dying at a young age. As callous as I can be, and as cold as I can come off as...I do not wish death upon anyone, I've seen enough of it to see what comes of it, and it isn't pleasant. You have been through terrible things, some of these things cannot be compared to other's trials and tribulations, but all the same other people have been through a hell of a lot more terrible things...things I will keep in my closet until I die... |

Actually, I'm not much of a drinker. Give me a few sips, and I'll be out. But hey, maybe we'll get along better that way! The one time I was really drunk, I kept singing, "I kissed a girl" over and over. Well, actually it was like the second or third time I was really drunk.
