My son graduated tonight in a nice outdoor ceremony. I was almost leaking water out of my eyes (teared up, aka crying). But I won't cry, but my throat was tight seeing him and all of his classmates entering the real world. I hope they all succeed and do well.
I graduated 27 years ago. Man has that gone by fast. I hope anyone here, who has a family member graduating any school this year enjoyed it and felt rejuvenated again. I want the best for my son and at the same time I feel motivated as well. Col. Sanders made his first dollar at the age of 65. |

I was a vet for over 8 years. Unfortunately due the economy many kids are forced to search for work in the military right now. I am not saying that is your son's case and I wish him well. Part of me thinks all kids should serve their country in some fashion. Or at least their community. jmo

My youngest son has just graduated as well. I was definitely teary eyed while listening to his valedictorian speech. He has also been serving his community through the church as a youth leader. Many years ago, a teacher actually told me "I'm so sorry that they are growing up in a broken home"...

My hat's off to you Patty. Sounds like a job well done. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world. But also the most rewarding.
