Whats a good recipe for soaking cherries in liquor? I can't really find a good one... Wondering if anyone has a good one? I was thinking either vodka or everclear
 How long do you soak them and if you add anything else??

I don't know about cherries, but I do know you can soak gummy bears in vodka overnight and then put them in a little baggie and take them to the movie theater the next day. Yay

The only thing I found was for canned cherries and to soak them for a month
 I wanted fresh cherries (Its more fun with the stem)  and have them this weekend

I would think you would need to add some grenadine or some kind of sweet liqueur to keep them sweet....... Hmmmmmmmmmm!!! Good question!!

I have used a syringe to put Everclear into a watermelon and oranges... I would think that if you soak them overnight it would be plenty long. If you think about it, when a cherry is in an drink it soaks up some alcohol pretty quickly! sounds like a party is planned! have fun! |

Everclear and Triple Sec. In college they used a fifth of Everclear, a fifth of Triple Sec. and whatever else you wanted in it - fruit punch or 7-up or nothing more. Then add whatever fruit and let it set overnight in the fridge - peaches, grapes, anything. That's a potent drink though.   No driving.

we soaked them for a few days in everclear back in the day...and called them cherry bombs...funny a friend and i were reminiscing about the fun times we had when we were kids...and cherry bombs were one of the topics...
