Topic: Why thier when it is suppose to be their? | |
---|---|
Can someone explain to me why so many people write "thier" instead of "their" all the time?
English is the third language I learned and was always taught to write 'their'. Also I see many write there when they are suppose to write their For example: This is their car and not this is there car. I would understand if you wrote - "Look, there is the car!" I also see often that words that are suppose to have 'ei' in it and not 'ie'. For example I read often liesure instead of leisure and concieved instead of conceived and so forth. Is this somekind of disease or something? Did Old English have it like this perhaps or has my English instructor taught me wrong back home? |

I have a bit of problem on occasion with typing too fast and flip my letters, and then after I post, I see the mistake...I think a lot of times, it is simple "human error"....good morning Blue Eyes

I find the same thing with You're and your.
I catch myself and sometimes have to pause to make sure it is correct before submitting it. |

I think it was actually written ie instead of ei. I would have to research on this. |
