I have an abcess tooth and talk about pain!!!
What can I do until I get to the dentist tomorrow? My entire head is killing me. It's making every tooth in my mouth hurt. It sucks having no insurance. Dental work is freakin outrageous. I'm just going to have it pulled I think. |

Ora-Jel and advil (ibuprophen) tylenol won't help for inflamatiom.

Are u allergic to aspirin? If not, get ya sum BC aspirin powders. Pour directly on the tooth givin ya the trouble. If can't get to the store, u got some whole cloves in the spice rack? Stick a whole clove next to the tooth.

Some over-the-counter OraJel might work as well, at least temporarily.
You might wanna check your local university to see if they have a medical program, especially if they have a School of Dentistry. Some universities and med schools will have programs where you can get various forms of dental work done for nothing or next-to-nothing. Of course, it'll be pre-graduation students doing the work, but it's better than nothing, right? |

I just had one a couple of months ago and you are right. They really do hurt. Orajel is about all I can think of, and aspirin for the pain. I had to have a root canal and the relief when he got those nerves out was wonderful! I'm sorry you're hurting.
He'll also be giving you an antibiodic for the infection. |

Try rinsing your mouth out with warm salt water..in the infected area. 2 teaspoons of salt in warm water..stir until salt dissolves. This may take a few minutes before the pain subsides.
If that doesn't work..try some clove oils.. clove is a natural numbing. Hope this helps. Toothaches are the worst! |

My city has dental clinics for people without dental insurance too. |

that will take the pain from your tooth...... well....... ok, not really but you wont think so much about the tooth..... always works for me........ |

I took four ibuprofren and some whiskey earlier. Probably not a good mix, but my mouth is killing me. It helped for about three hours. |

actually the earlier suggestion of the B/c powdered asprin is the best one. old fasioned remedy works well and last longer.
no water.....apply full pac of powder right to tooth and pack it in around the tooth....repeat as necessary and it really really works......... |
