the beginning is where this little story i choose to begin
for it would be rather silly to start from the end

to the person this is directed this is more not a story but that of a feeling
and though you can't see me this moment i hope that your ears they are ringing

now i will admit that my rhyming is not as fair as some of my projection
i shall go ahead and risk a few frowns or tears or even a little rejection

now many of days i sat in this chair
not one of happiness not one of despair
i hand over so many a tale of shadows or of the mist
i post them among these threads please read them i insist

the shadows do this and the darkness does that
but you have convinced my inner workings see that is not where my hearts at
you have become a lighthouse for me and all of my thoughts
who would have known that this place would have brought

two individual minds together so quickly
though this is much easier to write than speak it directly
what has begun as a vague interest in some little rambled writings
has developed into two wonderful people now sitting there smiling

so now I think with no shadows to speak of
what should i write about now how light can conjure love
i won't be so rash to jump to any illusions or decisions though that is where i am leaning
but i thank you my lighthouse for giving me a new beginning

It doesn't need to rhyme Chris...it's what's in your heart....and that is what makes it poetry
