So my divorce was final yesterday. The only thing that he wanted that I had was his wedding ring. I offered mine up too because I didn't want it. Now he is throwing a fit because I only gave him the two wedding bands and not my engagement ring (which he doesn't know that I threw off a bridge when we split uplaugh ). He insists that the engagement ring should be given back as part of the set. Is that as dumb as it sounds?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...Go to the judge Judy show...She will chew up his cheap dumb ass think

I don't take sides on anyone's divorce. Both, in most cases are behaving irrationally and resort to these petty sillyness. Take her side, take his side, or don't take any sides. No matter what, you are taking the side on who you favor the most, instead of favoring on who is correctly behaving in a civil manner. Take two to tango?

Congratulations on finalizing your divorce.

It is silly that he wants them back yes... specially since it was something cheap like that... that it was a matching set from Wally World? even more silly...

Tell him to go pound salt. What a freakin moron. That is your ring not his and you may do as you wish with it. The bottom of a muddy river is probably the best place for it. Question? What would you do with it if you kept it? It's just a reminder of your past anyhow.

Technically, Legally and Morally you are not required to return the engagement ring. But I gotta love the suggestion above.
BTW, Aren't you in the wrong area? lol

It doesn't matter who's fault was what...what matters is that he gave them to her as a gift and is free to do with them as she wants. Mommy didn't have to give him back her wedding ring for he gave it to her as a gift, and also she really didn't have to give him back his if he gave it to her when they broke up...but she did the nice thing and gave it back to him. (I didn't give any of the rings back, I have mine, his and the engagement ring, in case our daughters ever want them.)

And hotmommy.....congrats on getting rid of the moron!!! Feels good, don't it?

Asking for something back that is legally hers, and stomping his feet over it, makes him a moron.
