Woman's use of marijuana to relax apparently fails: she faces a battery charge

When Marion County sheriff’s Deputy Jesse Terrell walked into the Ocala home the stench of marijuana was so strong he had to step outside.

Terrell arrested Carol Ann Botner, 61, on initial charges of marijuana possession. Botner said she smokes marijuana “because it relaxes her,” the report states.

But William Prendergast, 56, was there and told the cop that Botner had battered him earlier in the day, reports the Ocala Star Banner.

As Terrell tried to arrest Botner, she first locked herself inside a bedroom, then later began slapping and kicking the deputy, according to the report.

We guess the drug's relaxing effect faded fast.

wow laugh

Not sure who called police but yes it was for suspicion of battery, charges changed once police were on site.
