RESIDENT EVIL 4: Honestly, I still find this to be the best game made within the past 10 years. I know that says alot, but when you re-invent a series (as popular as the RE seires) with a game like RE4 and do it in such an amazing fashion (while taking a BIG risk doing it) well you can see why I feel this way about this game. I know graphically games like MGS4, COD4 MW2, and God of War III are amazing. For it's time (and for a game that was originally a Gamecube game only), RE4 shocked us all on just how good it was (and still is).

DONKEY KONG COUNTRY: As far as SNES games go, this one tops them all. Playing as the big ape in this adventure game was pure fun, and one that I played over, and over, and over again. And the graphics (1994) were jaw dropping.

But the best ever..............

THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: Simply put, nothing will ever compare to this game. For its' time, Zelda opened gamers eyes to a whole new world of gaming, with hours of fun for exploring. I know that Ocarina of Time is (to me) the best game in this series since the original, and all the sequels are so much fun. But they just will never measure up to the original. I still play it to this day, and find it hella fun.

The Call of Duty Series is awesome and would be a must have. I also love pitfall from the Atari days.

Mega Man 2 was the game that got me hooked on video games when I was a kid. I also spent countless hours on Maniac Mansion also on the original NES, but the best game of all time was probably Super Metroid. The Metroid series kinda lost something, once they went to 3D, first person shooter style.

maybe not the best ever, but I always love to go back to Counter Strike with like 30 AI bots! Head shot!

I can't believe I forgot about "Morrowind:The Elderscrolls III"!! This game completely absorbed me for SOOOOOOOOO long. I never played a game before that made me not care about real life. I know "Oblivion" had much better graphics and has the voice actors, but "Oblivion" felt like a much smaller world to me, the story wasn't as good, and the weapons and magic abilities were vastly stripped down. You couldn't even levitate in "Oblivion"!

HALO 2:

Okay. The campaign was not so great. But man....did Bungie ever do it right when they made the multiplayer that would change online gaming for consoles. Halo 2 is the game that brought XBOX Live to "life", and it woke Sony up. I realize that Unreal had been a succes on the PC with online gaming. But what Halo 2 did for the consoles warrants it a place in gaming history.

I enjoy Oblivion, and still play it. But it's Morrowind that always draws me in. I agree Morrowind feels like a much bigger world and is much more absorbing- plus Morrowind had better expansions in both Blood Moon and Tribunal.

Also I really enjoy both Gothic and Gothic II, excellent RPGs.

Ocarina of time- because It changed everything we thought was possible at that time.

Golden Eye- Probably the first shooter ever I enjoyed.

Actually N64 had a lot of amazing games..Tony hawk, Banjo kazooie, Super mario...

just Final Fantasy VI for me please, though I do have to debate over Metal Gear Solid 3 or one of three Zelda games that are tied for third place in my personal favourites

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Hands down best game ever.

Diablo 2 would have to be my second favorite... Followed by Metal Gear Solid. Nothing will beat the times I've had on those games.

i agree and actually own an ocarina of time (the instrument :p). i play hoping to be teleported places. if only if only. lol
