The "LP" or, for those of you that are too young to remember albums, CD's are no longer made as an art form. Nowadays they are a couple of good songs and mostly filler with little or no theme. This list is only for albums that are good FROM BEGINNING TO END. I'm only going to include ten and in no particular order of my favorites. Greatest hits packages not only do not count on this list, they violate it since they have no theme.
The Who - Who's Next Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon The Beatles - Abbey Road The Beatles - The White Album The Beatles - Rubber Soul Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde The Band - Music From Big Pink The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds Honorable Mentions: The Kinks - We Are The Village Green Preservation Society Stevie Wonder - Innervisions The Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland The Who - Tommy Michael Jackson Thriller Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life Pink Floyd - Pipers At The Gates Of Dawn A nod to consistency throughout even though I do not think highly enough of the group(s) to put them on any list. Nirvana - Never Mind Def Leppard - Pyromania What's on your list? |

Zeppelin 2 iz better than 4.... And how come no Skynyrd on there? Pffft! Zep two and four are close. However, four is more consistent. Skynyrd doesn't make the list because none of their albums were great from beginning to end. They had great songs (if you like that sound) but their albums were loaded with weaker tracks. |

I'll throw a few out there from my personal (albeit small) collection.
Queen - A Night At The Opera Queen - Sheer Heart Attack T Rex - Electric Warrior Sweet - Desolation Boulevard The Moody Blues - In Search of The Lost Chord Jethro Tull - Aqualung and perhaps Ten Years After - Cricklewood Green (no moster hit tracks, but still very listenable from beginning to end) |

Queen - A Night At The Opera Queen - Sheer Heart Attack T Rex - Electric Warrior Sweet - Desolation Boulevard The Moody Blues - In Search of The Lost Chord Jethro Tull - Aqualung and perhaps Ten Years After - Cricklewood Green (no moster hit tracks, but still very listenable from beginning to end) Good choices. I would've thought that a Springsteen fan might've mentioned Born To Run. I probably should've given it an honorable mention.... Cricklewood Green is excellent although I prefer Ssssh. |

I'm not a Springsteen fan...
He was drowning out my own music, so I thought I would pipe down and listen to a free show. |

black sabbath war pigs album or Paranoid i believe is the name those are awesome! Paranoid is their second album. It was released in 1970. I was never a huge fan, but it is clearly their best. However, I've always liked the "garage" sound of the first album. |
