Redd Foxx was great, too. Too bad the IRS killed him. I remember one of his bits:

"I was out with a mean broad last night. Man was she mean. All I did was kiss her on the lips....And she squeezed her legs together and broke my glasses".

Yeah those are atop of my list also.

Oh geez, do I gotta choose just one? There are so many great stand up comedians! Gallagher, George Carlin, The Blue Collar Guys, Bernie Mac, Cedric, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Carrot Top, The Queens of Comedy, Tim Allen just to name some.

and Rowan Atkinson has had his moments - welcome to hell, the wedding, amazing jesus, the school master....

George Bush was pretty spectacular though. He is well known to be misunderestimated.

I'm going in a different direction because so many greats have been listed already. For very blue comedy that never gets seen because they are not allowed to do it on tv, I would say jay leno and gilbert godfried. They are filthy funny. But you never see it. If you ever get a chance to see the unedited hollywood squares episode with gilbert godfried that got banned- check it out. He was chosen and his question was "What is a black hole". He looked at the camera with a doofy look and slowly turned his head and looked at whoopie goldberg sitting next to him. Never said a word. The celebs and audience roared as all whoopies cursing and swearing got bleeped out. I was in tears.

Proper clean pg humor- jeff foxworthy. His one liners are hammer direct.

Thought provolking outlandish humor- emo phillips. "My nephews birthday is coming up and I have to get him a present. What do you get a 12 year old boy who was born deformed with an extra finger on each hand? Oh I know! Firecrackers"!

How about chris rock explaining if you be in da hood or not? "If you are lost and you look up at the street sign and it says martin luther king boulevard- RUN! You be in a bad neighborhood! You gonna get shot! RUN!
