~ MARY AND ANDREW ~
A heart so tender, so Loving, fell broken, a mother’s pain unspoken. Your child survived but a short time, yet his arrival gave joy to your being. You saw his smile, heard his laugh, gazed into his eyes. Love for him filled everything you did. As if yesterday, you can still feel his life within your womb, the fertile cocoon you provided him. His Spirit lives on through your every breath. Inside your breast he rests, giving you comfort, gently reminding you he is not with you ~ Inside of LOVE, you are now forever with him. ~© JDS 05/18/2009~ |

I've known some women in their 80's who lost babies when they were young, and yes for them it is "as if yesterday"; they remember every smile, every cry. A very tender poem.

Heartbreaking Yes, I think the loss of a child is truly one of the most difficult experiences the human heart can know. Ty for your presence to Mary and Andrew, Lily. My best friend lost her first child to SIDS, I've lived it myself. Wish I had those words to help her back then. |

My best friend lost her first child to SIDS, I've lived it myself. Wish I had those words to help her back then. That's also how Andrew died Lily...to SIDS. I'm sorry for your friend's loss. I know what you mean about words. I wish I had these words back then myself....years later, it is only now they come to me, after having just spoken to Mary. |
