 Hi Nicole...thanks for the sweet reply...
 I will keep you & your Son  in my prayers for sure...
I need to speak with my Mother this morning and the nurses and see how she is doing...She is scheduled to move into her new assisted living place on June first and if all goes well, that is where she will live for many comfortable happy years... ..i am so relieved that she will be well fed on time & well taken care of 
& I am happy that her medications will be closely monitored 
so she won't get so sick any more 
She is a real gem & i love her so much & I miss her already again...

It sure sounds like the new facility will be a prayer answered for you and your mom. I am so happy to hear she found a great place to go.

You have popped into my head several times today, how is your mom? Does she like the new facility she moved into? ohhh Nicole ...thank you so much /// you are soo thoughtful and kind 
Mama is doing okay , but she has taken a couple of tumbles
she can't walk you know and her cartiledge in her knees is sooo gone 
and she is not a candidate for knee replacement , cause of other extenuating medical conditions, so her balance is very wobbly 
and it breaks my heart to see her go through all that excruciating pain
At least now she has a walk-in shower so that is much easier for her
but she doesn't like the food there 
and she says they promise them stuff like personal pizzas and then they serve the same people always first  
and then she told me that they run out of the food 
they promised the folks shortly after starting to serve people ,
so it got me soo upset
i woke up during the night just weeping
cause i really hated seeing her go into assisted living,
but i was just unable to tend to all of her many many needs
being unable to walk & then she developed atrial fibrillation so it has been one thing after another
i have Power of Attorney so I called the executive director
and told her that Mom has only been there 30 days
and this is not the kind of news that i want to be hearing
and i pleaded with her to get to the bottom of the problem and give them the food that they are promised
& to not show any favoritism
and take turns with serving each table of people first
so, i am like a squeaky wheel when it comes to getting things done 
I am polite but firm and determined and intelligent
plus I have worked with other elderly people before my Mother
and i have lots of experience and insight
so people respect the fact that i know what i am talking about
and i will not rest until things are done
properly
cause she is My Beloved Mother
who has been there all the time for me
and i am not going to have her forever on Earth
so i need to care for her the best i can while i have her

That is just awful. They should be ashamed of themselves treating people like that! Don't they realize the residents have families who care about and want them to get the best possible care they can receive from the facility? I am so sorry to hear that on top of her fragile medical condition she has to deal with their incompetance. Sending hugs and prayers to Mom and also to you for the strength you need to help her and get her the care she deserves!
