I wanted to bring this thread back...
for it still applies big time Chemical Companies are making millions trying to persuade you to buy every weapon of warfare thing possible to eradicate weeds, as if they are some violent explosive terrorist... as if their presence is causing you some problem... Dandelions are so pretty & good to eat & sooo nutritious and have soo many life giving benefits & so do many other garden herbs that some people call < weeds >... so please , before you get out the big guns... and kill a harmless plant, and before we kill ourselves ultimately in the end too please educate yourselves about what you are putting on your lawn and what chemicals your children & pets are playing in and tracking into your home & grinding into your carpet and floors and becoming airborne where we live & work & eat & sleep and think of the chemicals that you put in the soil that goes directly into the water systems before you go rush out to the garden shop or order online and play out a game where really no one wins ... not even the greedy selfish people who capitalize on our ignorance for they have to breathe the air & drink the water they pollute too by buying another harmful chemical they disguise in a pretty box and try to convince you on TV and in Magazines & online that you absolutely need it .. Think free be free and let others live and breathe free and drink clean water too |

The Amish religious group always talk about these. They like to get them when they are young and tender then of course dredge them through flour and fry them. The eat the young leaves in salads. They don't waste anything from anything. Myself so not eating them.

Myself so not eating them. wow... thank you DragonFlyTat Lady that sounds tasty , but i don't need all the fat & flour i just saute' them in garlic & sesame oil like mustard greens if the leaves are more mature & more bitter , add a little honey and if they are young & tender they are great in a salad with avocadoes and grated carrots and cheese some lemon juice maybe some grilled chicken if you like meat & good cold pressed oil with sun dried tomatoes...yummy and soo nutritious & good for your eyesight & digestion so many amazing properties & life giving nutrients if people would only educate themselves and it is free , with just a little work Dandelions..one of the most prolific plants full of yellow flowers that God gives us to heal |
