okay so my boyfriend from SO many years ago joined the army, hes now 20 and I, 19. We both had a bad falling outthen we stared talking agian last year. well he was sent to Iraq back in March. He wrote to me while there and he said and I quote, "Hey well you never know what will happen, I'll give you a ring when I get home."
Now, in guys terms what does this mean. He told me this May 2nd and I haven't heard from him since. Help! |

Well, it's not eaxctly written in code, it means: "Hey well you never know what will happen, I'll give you a ring when I get home." Don't read anything more into it.

To me it sounds as if he was planning to call when he gets home, and the rest is up in the air. I've always found it best to ask if you're unsure *shrug*

The best thing to do is just forget about it, if he calls cool, if he doesn't don't sit around and wait. Theres no reason for him to pursue you if you make yourself too available.

I'm an idiot, plain and simple.

I imagine being out in Irag brings many things into perspective for a person... it is a bit more of a life and death kinda day than what I am used to in the office.....
Perhaps you left a mark on him - he views you very fondly. Alot of guys will say those things and then not mean much by it... but not all of us are without feeling and intent. While I liked msmyka's last post... perhaps also contemplate what you would want if he did call... don't go all putty in his hands.... know your boundaries and your intentions. You are not an idiot - plain and simple. Just normal. |

He might need a booty call when he gets back?
That is the first thing that comes to my mind. Second thing is he may need a bit of love and support from what he experiences over there. |

maybe being there made him realize that every day is not promised. Being there maybe helped him realize what is important to him. and realize he cant just pull out his cell and holla at you when he wants to...
