I don't know. I hope the little ones get some kind of counseling or the parents talk to them and let them know it isn't their fault
i remember once while teaching 5 yr olds...one little girl had to use the bathroom but didn't say anything. i looked at her standing in a puddle and crying. it broke my heart. took a break with the class and had my assistant take the others for water and change their shoes. i let the little one know she isn't in trouble and it was an accident and to not be afraid to let Ms. Kim know if she needs to go to the bathroom. reflecting back now...makes me wonder if there was a reason she didn't speak up. but she also may not have realized it too. but i certainly wouldn't even make her feel guilty in any way..let alone hurt her |

it realy scares me just to think what kind of affect it will do to them..and just trying to reverse the damage. i got to sit in on my boys preschool class a few weeks ago it was awesome! i cant believe all the computers and all they use on kids these days i wish we had all that in my day

little ones like that....just give them love and let them know they did nothing wrong and maybe that there are people in the world that aren't nice
just have to love them often and talk to them |

If anyone had ever abused one of my children like this, the trial they would be waiting for would be mine, not theirs.
For any child actually, not just my own. 5 minutes alone wouldn't be enough, but a good start..... |

Figures this happened in Miami
It has been polled that Miami has the worst drivers, considered the rudest city, is one of the top 10 most violent cities in the nation, and is a big port for drugs and illegal immigrants. On top of this Miami falls in dade county area where the people don't speak English very well and don't know how to vote. I mean vote not by choosing which candidate, but by understanding how to use a voting machine. Also has one of the worst underfunded education systems with horrible results on grade average compared to other states in the nation, unless you put your child in a private school. So there you have it! One wouldn't be surprised that such violence occurs down here. This only scratches the surface. Watch the local news and you will see much more horrifying happenings down here that will blow your socks off. and what makes it worse is I live down here. ugh! Nevertheless, I am fortunate to live in one of the very few secure and wealthy areas of the city that is well protected. and fortunately for only another year before I finally go home to my country |

My neighbor of 90 years says things weren't that bad in his days. I think we are the only two white guys in the whole area where we live. Today times have changed. So yes Miami is a fun place to go for vacation, but to live I wouldn't suggest it unless you are in a richer district. Also Spanish is a plus down here regardless where you live in Miami. The majority of the population is Latin ethnic. The next majority are Haitians. and then there are a handful of Americans who are usually the old generations who had bought a house here and are too lazy to sell it and move north, yet many have moved northwards and sold their houses. |

Whew - don't live in Miami, but have been there plenty of times to know - yes drivers sucks, but I find driver's suck everywhere.
There is a language barrier, go one block most speak spanish, go east another block most speak creole, etc. These things happen everywhere - what doesn't happen or better yet it caught my eye in the paper today. Imagine, leaving your child at a reputable head start program and your child being abused, literally being kicked in the face (child is 5) for having to use the bathroom. Teacher then went on to acknowledging and admitting kicking 2 other students on other days. |

and yes violence is bad regardless in which form it is used
especially against children There are other methods to punish a child without the use of violence. For me that should be common sense, but I guess for many this isn't the case. |

One report I watched once on television is how a teacher locks her children in a closet for 2 hours if they are bad. A closet with no light as punishment. Then say that if the child says anything she will do worse. Fortunately one child had the courage to say something to his parents and something was done about it. Teacher was fired and the school was lucky to have not closed down. shall I continue? no maybe not. Miami is crazy and I am sure other cities around the nation are just as bad. |

I can imagine how homeschooling is getting more popular amongst concerned parents each year.
I mean not everyone can afford to put their child in a private school where professionalism is seeked. Where teachers are getting paid better and really do care about improving a child's mind. And since such amounts of money cannot be spent they find a way to homeschool instead and put them in activities such as tennis or other things to keep them active. I say more power to them if that is what it takes to keep their children safe. Schools not only need to be funded, but the teachers need to be educated on how to handle large amount of children without resorting to violence. What is the use if a teacher can educate children on social studies but doesn't know how to keep order in a classroom without resorting to violence? |

the children and the elderly abuse is cowardly...even more so than abuse on someone there own size. but peole like that pick on the kids and elderly because they can't fight back the way I might be able to. i may not be able to beat an attacker...but I would put up a huge fight

abusers are normally cowards - picking on the meek

you are right....you don't see them picking on someone theirown size or age
i actually saw a guy smack his wife upside the head at a bar....give you one guess as who the first person to speak up was |
