I make my own Native American jewelry & that's usually the only type I wear...never was one into gold...but silver & turquoise is a whole 'nother ballgame... I'm with you there...Make my own NA things but do have a couple of pieces that I purchased a long time ago.. I do wear a diamond pendant all the time, it belonged to my mom and I had to go to an auction to get it back... I wear my NA things all the time... |

Guys, do you assume a woman with nice jewelry on already has a man or his high maintenance and expects gifts like that? I never notice stuff like that unless it's so ostentatious you can't NOT notice, in which case it can be a bit off-putting. |

i enjoy a woman who has good taste, and likes jewelry... but tasteful. my personal preference is 'understated elegance' - a few items, but high quality. I enjoy purchasing jewelry for someone that I am in a relationship with, but when it's appropriate and to mark special occations (making them more emotionally important than just things)... symbolism is important in a relationship i think.
I enjoy people who like to show their personality - so i think, "where what makes you feel sexy, confident..." in clothing and in jewelry... and you will attract a man that likes the same... I guess it's just a part of being true to yourself and who you are - don't change for anyone... Me? I like jewelry, but again understated. I wear a nice watch on one arm, bracelet on the other, necklace with 2 charms that are important to me... I wear them for me, under my shirt/clothes -- not "out" for all to see (it's not for them)... I prefer gold... (guess I am old fashined) ![]() |

Jewelry is overrated and there are people who would kill for it. There are also people who have died getting the resources for it also in third world countries. All so rich countries can sell them in their stores.
I prefer a Hawaiin woman with no jewelry but a good dose of coconut butter on her skin and many of those flowers they make into necklaces. Now that is sexy ![]() ![]() |

I don't wear jewelry and about the only judgment I might (and I stress MIGHT) make is in the case of being too much, I think when it comes to jewelry (and makeup) a little goes a looong way. But, it takes a LOT for me to judge that it's trashy or something.

However, I have always felt like I was born in the wrong time and wrong place, so I think I was NA in another life... this is who I am and what I feel comfortable with ... |

LOL I LOVE my jewelry but its all mine... no one bought it for me and I dont expect that either. Just wonder if sometimes it gives off the wrong impression, ya know? If someone is going to get the wrong impression by a woman wearing jewelry, there's not much you can do about it. Wear what you want and enjoy it. If they have an issue with it, oh well. |

Yea...I'm a tard about posting pix, too! ![]() My absolute fave piece is a Kokopeli pendant with a chunk of White Buffalo Turquoise set in it... For those unfamiliar with the story... ONE vein of almost white/baby blue turquoise (I'm assuming it had very little copper content, hence the light coloring) was discovered the same year a White Buffalo was born... And once that vein is mined out...there will be no more. It's not very ostentatious...but it has great Spiritual meaning for me... |

I just did an antique show, and there was a squash blossom there, that was the best I have seen in years. It was double sided with blue Turquoise and a beautiful White Buffalo Turquoise (thanks Que for that info on that name of Turquoise). When it was turned over it was all red and pink Coral. The lady wanted $2,500.00 for it and if I only had the money.....It was a WOW moment.

If you are and independent woman and can afford nice things for yourself, occassionally you will find a guy who is intimidated by that. If he is that insecure, jealouse, or just plain selfish then you don't need him.
