The RightPath in Life
When starting out to find their way Many people tend to stray, Never seeking - never knowing - Never looking where they’re going. Others follow others’ dreams, Doing what their father deems, Or filling mother’s expectation, But having little motivation. No thoughts of interests or of skills, But only work that pays the bills. No thought of values they hold true, But only titles when they’re through. Then ulcers come and headaches grow. Frustration, tensions begin to show. What happened? It seemed so right at first, But now no passion, hunger, thirst. May we suggest you stop to seek Your pattern for living that’s quite unique? Take time to learn how you are made. Then take that path and never trade What you can be, or think, or do For what others may expect of you, What fills the coffer, promises ease, Swells the ego, or tends to please. Don’t lose your way and wander far, From how you’re wired and who you are. But discover your talents - to them be true. They show the path that’s right for you. ©Sue Clark 1/22/97 Modified 4/6/2000, All rights reserved |
