Just the fact that you have confronted her will let her know that you are aware and she will take down the page herself.

The thing is, she won't. For three years, I worked on an online safety team, trying to educate teens to the dangers of the internet. They laughed at the lectures, left suggestive photos in their profiles, and informed us that we were uptight prudes (and that was the nicest accusation). Most teens think adults are over protective idiots, and I can't blame them because most of us felt that way when we were 16.

The thing is, the stuff I saw while doing that work gave me nightmares. There are far too many predators out there, and while it may seem that I am overreacting, I know I'm not. That cute 18 yr old boy they're chatting with could easily be a 60 year old convicted sex offender, and there is no way to know. *shrug*

I don't envy you your dilemma, Gossipmpm, but if I were in your shoes, I'd rather have my friend mad at me and know the daughter was safe.

I was cruising around myspace. I found my friends daughters page. She is posing as a 23 year old. Her picture s are sexual in nature with boys and girls!!
She is listing herself as a swinger looking for fun. I was shocked. Do I tell her mom?
She's only 16!!!

Hummmm if nothing else like some have said print the page up so they can see for themselves and put it in there hands to look at no words would have to be spoken you could just say I think you might want to know about this for your daughters safety then it is up to them what they in fact do with the information. At least it will give you a clear mind knowing you did what you could.

I also agree with this. It could be like what was said earlier, that you were checking to see if this was a prank by another student, teen, etc. and then there is no way they could get upset at you. They have no reason to get upset anyway, your care and concern is a sign of true friendship!
