Maybe not the way we, as adults, define love. I think it's more like the unconditional love children have for their parents. I'm talking about the pet/master relationship, not animal-to-animal.

well they show affection and/or displeasure when u swat them.
my cat who constantly digs in his sandbox shredding it, sits up on his back hind legs ready to do battle, cause he knows i am either going to yell "get out of there" or blow air on him... and on the other hand, when he is feeling loving, he sticks his paw out, i pet him, and he bites me. he gets a swat.

And they know when they are no longer loved. :-( One of my PBPigs, Ruby, was originally owned by a man. He got married and wifey made him get rid of the pig. Ruby wouldn't have anything to do with men for about a year. |
