Topic: ASK – ME – ANYTHING | |
---|---|
This is just my rant, so click exit if you’re not in the mood to be blown away by the steam coming out of my ears. If you want to rant back at me, I ask that you either live close enough or be willing to come to me so that I can reply to you in the way in which my current mood requires (this may involve physical contact between my extremities and your face/torso). I’m here to make contact with and meet potential friends/activity partners. In order to do so in an efficient (well organized and without waste) manner, I have included information in my profile as to the basics of who I am, who I prefer, what I enjoy, and what I’d like to try. This information is meant as a general guide and is not the total of who I am. When I wrote it, I was trying to give people information they could use as conversation starters. At the bottom of my, I included a note asking that people be specific when responding to my profile. All that effort into making sure I included enough items for others to base the start of a conversation on has resulted in most of the mail I receive for the first time from people being along the lines of… “I like your profile.” “We should talk.” “You’re beautiful.” “Want to get a coffee?” “You don’t leave much to ask about.” Etc… etc… etc… Not everyone has responded in those ways, but most have. Every now and then I get a note that shows intelligent life exists, but more often it’s a note that leaves me frustratingly typing my typical response of sarcastic remarks or just saying “thank you.” The most recent reply to my ad was: “Wow. That is the most detailed profile I have ever seen. You do not leave much for anyone to ask though” My reply: “The detail allows people to ask questions based upon what they read. Every try starting a conversation with someone when their profile just says “ask me anything”? Sure… just as soon as I’m done writing my questions for someone I’ve never heard of about a subject I know nothing about. Oh wait; I don’t even know what the subject is! All I have is a photo of the person I’m to talk to. Gee, that will be easy… not! After that, I’ll go to the MWU book store and find a textbook that looks interesting and stop by the classroom to take a test on a subject I don’t know anything about just because the book was pretty. If you’re still reading and haven’t called me a sarcastic b@#*^ as you closed and deleted this… How about looking at what I know how to do and replying with, “Would love if you could teach me…” Or reply to what I want to learn with, “I can show you…” Or to what I like to do with, “We should get together to…” Or to how I feel about something with, “I’ve always felt that…”” Ok, my ranting is done. I feel better. To those who understand how I feel, thanks for listening and send me a note if you want an actual conversation. To the rest, have a nice day and don’t forget to call me a name and report me as a b@#*^ on your way out of here. |

do you like taco bell ???? lol Is that some kind of lead in to a joke about "hitting below the belt" or "south of the border (belt)"??? |

Okay, before I decided to post here ...I went and read your profile.. I do that so I know the people in the threads.. And I found your profile to be very clear concise and well written. You expressed yourself and the important things. I do not see where anyone who would respond to you would have a problem .....wait... unless they are brain dead?... very nice lady here in my opinion.

You're gonna leave me there and tell them I jumped the border, aren't you? |
