Gonna be another hot, humid day! Fair started today.
Doors opened at 7 and wow, what a crowd already. I live close to the fairgrounds, so is always a zoo around here for 10 days....fun, fun, fun!! |

Wow, isn't that funny that it starts the same day!! Are you a fair junkie? I am, but I guess being raised so close to it has something to do with it. Love the sites, the smell, the fun, the people. I could spend all day just people watching....tee hee I remember when I was young and looking at all the old geesers watching people...now that's me

Mornin everyone.. fried food on a stick..they had a small version of a fair here a couple of weeks ago..it rained..hadn't rained for a couple of weeks..then..through the years, I hadn't done a lot of that..now, it is on my list.. coffee |

Every time I go up north I go to the fairs in Ohio and Michigan. I love funnel cakes. I do like the Greek festival they have here.

I love the state fair. I do like to go and just watch all the different people. We always went when I was a kid. My parents always entered their flowers, rabbits, different collections, and other things. It was so fun to see if they won a ribbon. Oh the smells. My favorite is the salt water taffy. mmmmmmm
|

I make them for the kids every now and then. Iowa is famous for the corndogs....yummy!! And of course the Porkchop on a stick by the pork producers. You name it, it's on a stick...even BEER
