I have had that happen to me a couple of times with online 'girlfriends'. Id like to know they are doing ok, but aside from that i wouldnt wanna have anything to do with them.

I would ask him why did he bother coming back... and to go back wherever he had been and STAY. That would not only be rude but also very thoughtless for the person you left wondering what was going on!
