Has anyone ever went to a singles dance? How did you like it or not?
Please give me some feedback. That may be my next step to meeting men my age.

It was fun. Met nice people. Sort of a bar atmosphere but they served no liquor

It didn't hurt to go

Used to go at least twice a month.
Widow & widower's group would go, ladies felt safer in a group.
Always enjoyed it & met many nice people.
Best to go with friends, you will be more comfortable.

Well, here I go....I go on Tueday nights to Zydeco dancing, real down-home Southern/Louisiana type dancing and the people are relaxed and fun and friendly and it's only $5.00. On the other hand I went to a singles dance at a country club ONCE and the atmosphere and the people were something else altogether and they charged me $20.00 to get in! Yes, if you can get someone to go along with you at least the first time it will help a whole bunch. Go expecting to just have a good time and if you meet someone that's the cherry on the icing (or whatever that expression is).
