Blair was a sharp guy. He did a lot more for England than the one thing
people like to hang him for. He helped make England a place for foreign investment, kept the economy strong so there could be a good work base. Made England more competitive in world markets, and was a good friend to the United States. You should hope to find someone as good to take his place. but I am thinking it will be tough. If you don't like his ilk maybe you can put a call into ol' Chirac. I hear he is unemployed. Perhaps you'll prefer cooperating with Russia to cooperating with the US. Blair was no Lackey. He had his own mind and thought for himself. He simply happened to agree with Bush on certain issues, being a thinking man and all. Bush might not be a great speaker, but he has a team doing some thinking for him. Blair may have had some alignment with that team. |

I'm not really up on British politics but I always thought Blair had the
courage of his convictions. I admire that in a person. |

I'm so tired of hearing bush bashing.....funny he was elected a 2nd term
huh? people who can only say Bush is an idiot, seem like idiots themselfs. He is the President of this country....and as long as he is, to disrespect him, is a sign of being nothing but a whiner. We have a lot of men fighting now in Iraq..for what this administration and americans believe in whats right... u listen to opinion polls, do you? lol the majprity dont even participate in them... who elects the officals? the silent majority does, thats who. some idiot says Bush putting our kids in dangerous areas.... what kids? wheni was 18 I was a man... my parents couldnt tell me what to do.... this is not Vietnam, that was a draft time.. and alot men didnt want to go into the military.... this is Iraq where the soldiers are volenteering to go to war.... its a volunteer army!!!!!!!!!so lets get real... I admired Tony Blair!!!!!! I never bad mouthed Clinton, and wow he may have deserved it. The people who complain and protest now are the same who protest everything.. professionals..... I am an army Vet and I stand with our Sldiers and along side need be... How about you? |

Glad to see someone step up to the plate Trizar.
For you bashers who love to complain about Bush being an idiot, let me remind you that he became president and I never even heard of you before. What have you done for to distinguish yourself? Can you drink several six packs of beer a night? Hold down a bar covered with empty shot glasses? Who really gives a damn if you think Bush is an idiot. Blair is quite sharp, watch him in the House of Commons on CSPAN sometime. He makes good, fast points, clearly and then steps aside to let others speak. His positions are well thought out, and few in the house hold a candle to his logic or speaking style. That is the reason he has been able to move important measures though the system and prevail in politics. |
