Ann, I could not answer you back on your question about your weight
problem , because you have blocked my age group.if you want me to give you advice you must clear the block.because what I will tell you would be your personal business unless it does not matter. |

Hi,

GREAT, will, I work out with weights. I seem to have developed some
tendonitis in the tendon on the inside of the arm. I don't think I've 'hurt' myself, just think it's the tendon. Do I stop the weight training, or use lighter weights and for how long. It's expecially painfull doint curls and straight arm push ups. HELP, I can't affort a doctor and hate to quit my routine. |

I have had tendinitis in my wrist - try buying a wrist splint, you can
get them over the counter at pharmacies, they can help you pick out the right one and size - wear it to bed at night = will help you keep the wrist straight and help keep the blood flowing through the wrist, no pinching of the nerves, etc. You may need to wear it some during the day too, but take it off several times to do gentle range of motion of the wrist so it doesn't get stiff on you. Also take antiinflammatories if you can, Motrin (ibuprofen), Advil, Aleve, something like that to help wtih the swelling. You really should be checked by a doctor, but this is just what I did when I have battled wtih it in the past. I would rest the wrist and not do any weight lifting until the inflammation heals, also ice packs for 20 minutes at a time a few times a day will help with inflmmation. I am not a trainer, speaking from experience on this one. Hope this helps. Take care. |
