SODA POP?
I don’t think we should talk about war anymore. Do you? I mean, so there’s a huge death toll, and people are gettin’ blown to bits but, what’s with all this anyway? Who’s to say any of this matters? War certainly is big business too but, so who cares? As long as your parent isn’t going there? Right? So there’s a fight here and there, and there and here. Do we really need to hear about someone else’s nightmare as long as we think it doesn’t effect us? Is speaking about war a must? I mean, whaat’s the fuss?! After all, “In God We Trust” so the mighty dollar says. I’d rather talk about religion ‘cause there’s a lot of sinners out there not goin’ to church! You know, not doin’ much about the status quo. Oh! Wait a minute! Do we know if the status quo has anything to do with war? Perhaps it just might ‘cause when people are oppressed with the same ol' same ol' they want change, and will go to great pains to have the basics in life. But if those at the top try to stop equity and economic balance, a lance or two may be thrown. Oh, I don’t know. Should we talk about war or not? People die, bodies drop, but, that’s OK. I’d rather sit around drinking, or thinkin’ ‘bout soda pop! ~© JDS 04/29/2009~ |

We so much suffer from the mentality-not in my neck of the woods. Unfortunately, it should not be out-of-sight, out-of-mind. Great as always, J.

We do P, and yes, things can be another way...Ty for your ocmment I believe it is true that an understanding of Oneness is integral to healing among peoples, to world healing, to universal healing... My back yard is your back yard, and vice versa. If there seems to be a difference, the difference is mere illusion... IMO. |

You do seem to be obscessed with war poems. Not to get into religion, but is that the same God that's totally comfortable with an eternal hell going on forever along-side heaven? In what way would that differ from the wars we have now? Would there just not be allowed any NEWS coverage of hell in heaven? Is that it? Out of sight, out of mind? Don't mind me I'm just curious and I didn't think to rhyme my thoughts I'm too busy drinking soda pop. |

The Soul speaks what it must regardless of the way things may seem...The Soul does not concern itself with the possibility of being considered "obsessed"...Perhaps its only purpose is to make known what might otherwise be hidden, or to shine light on the power of Truth and Love...some may view these writes as simply being about war, and others may see something very different if they look in between the lines. I don't know about your questions but, I do know that, at times, the Soul indeed can be QUITE satirical.... These writes need no public approval or societal license. They are what they are....Now, enjoy your soda! I'm currently drinking a Diet cherry Doctor Pepper Cheers |

Sorry if I sounded critical. I was just making an observation. I've been feeling down lately and it's not just because the actions of mankind are insane in many ways (war perhaps being merely the epitome of that insanity). But the very nature of a dog-eat-dog world has been eating away at me. Take mankind out of the picture entirely and nature is still a heartless and cruel monster in and of herself in many ways. Sometimes I find it difficult to be positive about anything. The idea that mankind fell from grace is hard to accept when nature herself seems to have fallen victim to this very fate. I need to see a shrink to help me change the way I think or focus more intensely on the soda pop I drink In truth I gave it up I've been drinking herbal teas hoping to improve myself in varying degrees I'm a perfectionist at heart and a thinker like Descartes but truth be known I moan and groan like a cantankerous old fart Don't mind the words I write they reflect my hopeless plight I live in shame in a state of blame and confess I'm not too bright I'm looking forward to my death but I refuse to hold my breath I'll wait for premonitions from the witches of Macbeth <--- Soda pop |

And so important to know who, or what underlying force, does the pushing such that humankind believes war is the answer. Ty for reading and commenting 1000 |

Everyone has their own response to any given issue or matter at hand. Indeed, being in this world is not easy despite its many beauties. I understood your communication, and I hope you understood mine. You are a wonderful poet. Keep up the great work |

Wars are not as they appear to be they symbolize control and power and oppression to be free Take away the bombs the bullets the rifles and the knives there'd still be a rivalry persisting in our lives An emotional explosion that detonates our soul and releases our frustrations beyond our own control Do this! Don't do that! Pay your taxes right on time! We'll rape away your decency and charge you with the crime! Don't talk back! Acknowledge that's your place! Just simmer in oppression and put up with the disgrace! A world without a war would be a world where we ignore the human right to stand and fight for the freedoms we adore The problem is that we've grown blind to the fact that we alone are not mankind Now we fight to stay ahead in world where we control the bread We've lost compassion to our bogus pride and refuse to consider the other side (just reflections from a depressed soul) |
