The only possible, is that 2012 would be the beginning of the end. In order for that to be, then Obama would be the anti Christ...that's not realistic. In the end times, there will be a one world government, a world leader will preside...everyone will know him, the end will last for seven years, the first half will be bountiful, the remainder will be hell on earth. There is no way in the time frame that 2012 could even begin to be...the beginning of the end. What is was, and what was will be. It is impossible for 2012 to play a part in the end times...other than being simply another passing year. JMO yep,i agree Mark

well i find it ironic that so many are believing something so far off
it is the myan calendar they made it up till 2012 (so you think it is the end of the world) interesting they died out before 1300s that makes their calendar off by at least 700 years after all it was their time frame and they did not make it their world ended long ago |

The world will end when it ends, we have no control therefore it's not worth even thinking about, much less stressing about 
that attitude is what keeps things from getting better. yes, we have control. if something horrible happens, we could have prevented it. the failure is almost always in lazy science - people with advanced degrees that forget basic humanity. but don't stress if you choose not to - just don't ask people like me to chill out and relax. we're driving the bus. don't get us drunk please. Ouch, hostile much? A - I rarely drink; and B - I'm old enough to know that the more I know, the more I don't but one thing I DO know is that there are certain things I CAN control and certain things I CAN'T. I cannot control the actions of other people, nor can I control nature. Therefore, I choose not to stress over the things I CANNOT control. That was what I meant, I'm sorry you chose to read more into it than what was intended.

It's fine. I think our true ability to control our world has been underestimated in public opinion. Many people have a sense that the world might end, and that we can't do anything to stop it. We can, and we will. That truth should take the stress away without ignoring the concept. |

OK, check it... The Mayans calendar was based on these long 800 year os so cycles... It might be a number different than 800... point is, the last cycle they documented and recorded happened to end on 2012. Unfortunately they didn't stick around long enough to be able to continue documenting and recording the next cycle. Which makes me wonder, if they did in fact predict the exact time and date of the end of the world, why couldn't they forsee their own demise...?

...someday. Nobody lives forever. Anyone believing in the Mayans predicting the end of the world in 2012, please share your thoughts. I need a good laugh today! Also anyone believing in an alien master race coming to enslave us humans and destroy our planet, feel free to share... Basically anyone who is currently on psych meds or those that should be and aren't... I want to hear from you. 
They didn't predict the end of the world, their calendar simply ends on December 21st, 2012. Nowhere has it been documented that the Mayans have predicted anything other than the start of a new b'ak'tun. |

It's not just the Mayan Calendar. The Mayans predicted the landing of Cortez to the DAY, 200 years in advance of it.
The chinese calander and the I Ching (cycles) also stop at 12/2012. The Hopi indians predicted the same approximate date for the end of the world. Edgar Cayce did too. Who knows, who cares? After cheating death so many times, you start feeling like you need to give it a chance to catch you...just for fun. It's the end of the world as we know it..and I feel fine. |

How can the world end in 2012 when the aliens won't even get here to enslave the human race until 2052?!?! I'm joking,of course. Actually, the aliens already live in secret among us! MahanMahan is actually one of them-he's all incognito and posts threads like this to throw suspicion off of 'em.  I told the secret! Looks like it's a brain transplant and anal probing for me--if they can find me!
I'm gonna have to go under the grid now guyz n gals...but I'll check back when I can to see if anyone's figured out when the end of the world is!
