In the previous thread I asked for people to list the issues they
thought were important to the upcomine election. I had planned on
getting about 10 or 12 major issues but I got almost twice that many so
I thought what the heck they are all important to someone and I will
list them all. Then you can list how your favorite candidate stands on
the issues, or expound with your own views. The gloves are off and I
will just stand back and watch the fur fly Ok I want a nice
clean fight, no eye gouging, hitting below the belt, kicking, scratching
or bitting. If someone says "break" break clean then smack him.


And the issues are....., not necessarily in any order, just the way
wrote them down. If I missed any I apologize, feel free to add one if
you like.

Abortion - Choice, agree with Davinci and make it a state issue...
Foreign Policy - Spend more money here, and prioritize the foriegn
issues...

School/Education - education is our future right?
Stem Cell Research - lets cure some major diseases
Gay Marriage - let em... why should I care.. doesn't affect me or my
morals...
Environment - we need to pay specific attention to our environment, lots
of BS floating around on both sides of the issue, but it is an issue...
The Patriot Act - yeah, lets throw all our rights out the window, the
Patriot act is an oxymoron, there is nothing Patriotic about it...
World Peace - yeah right, that will never happen... but it's a nice
thought
New Energy Sources/Research - goes right along with global warming and
conservation... if we don't invest in new energy sources, then we will
be paying 50 bucks a gallon for gas eventually...

others I think is just a few select people trying to make a stupid
statement. I can't stand racism and whatnot... but there's not reason
to take down christmas trees in an airport because some moron doesn't
like it... and I'm not even a religious person lol....

Obviously we could probably make whole threads on these issues, and some
I left out, just because haha...

latest conspiracy theory than to adress issues that will shape this
country for years to come. What is even more scary is those people also
vote.

Abortion- Not the place of government to decide. Moral issues are the
preview of each individual. (NOT THE RIGHT OF ANY MAJORITY OR MINORITY
TO DICTATE i.e BECAUSE IT IS FORBIDDEN IN YOUR RELIGION DOES NOT GIVE
YOU THE RIGHT TO DICTATE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE) personally I am against
it... but I am also against telling some one else what is right for
them.

Foreign Policy - must be fluid and able to change as needed based upon
other factors (World Peace, Environment, National security, Nuclear
weapons, proper use of military, world financial situation etc...)

War in Iraq/Afganistan - We are there. Deal with it. Get the job done.
Get out! (Ever got in a fight... Once start throwing punches you got to
get r' done or lose).
War in general - Last resort see above for why.

School/Education - Not the business of the federal government. Should
be a function of the individual states. Why waste federal funds. If a
state can't live up to my standards I will exercise my right to live in
a state that does. GO AHEAD AND SUSPEND MY CHILDREN FOR PRAYING. I
WILL REMOVE MY TAX DOLLARS FROM YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT AS QUICK AS GOD
WILL ALLOW.

Stem Cell Research - If we can benefit from this why not. If it costs
a new life than NO WAY!

Gay Marriege - Whatever... If a person wishes to live in this manner it
is not my place to deni them.

Labor Laws - There are a lot of them in place allready. Enforce them.

Employment - must address other issues before you can effectivly address
this one.

Federal Reserve - I do not have enough knowledge on this to have an
valid opinion.

Patriot Act - After reading this piece of sneaky rubbish repeal it. It
is one of the most dangerous bits of legal double talk I have ever seen.

World Peace - Should be the number one goal of our Foreign Policy.

New Energy Sources/Research - One reason World Peace is so important.
If we dam a river for hydroelectric it effects ever single nation on
this planet. The change in the earths system by one river effects the
entire system. The damage done by a single power plant (nuclear)
accident effects all nations.

Nuclear Proliferation - Nothing much you can do about it. Technology
will spread no matter what you do. Better to devise a method of
controlling a nuclear weapon at the point it initiates nuclear reaction
so such a thing is powerless. Would make building them a useless
endeavor.

Inflation - Not a real issue. Work on the economy. Inflation will go
away.

Homeland Security - ? When did we start to live in the USSR. How darn
many police type groups do we need. FBI, CIA, NSA, CID, XXX, YYY, ZZZ
ack EEEK BARF. Secure our borders.

Securing Our Borders - That is what our military should be doing... Not
making war on the other side of the planet.

Immigration - What this country was founded on. Illegal or otherwise.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS - You mean like Imus can't say anything but
sharpton can impLIE that a mormon does not worship god and still be
