Hiya AD !

Not yet AD. This is the first time in two years for me to get back into woodworking.

G'nite Star Whew... got to playing this dang game and lost track of time So do you draw the stuff out Pol or just freehand it and put it together? |
I drew it out first. The dark wood is almost $20 a board foot. I wanted a solid pattern to work with.
Yeah, that makes sense. Whadda ya think you can get for that kind of thing? At the artsy fartsy fairs it would go for a couple hundred bucks... but I don't know if anyone actually buys stuff at those things |

That particular one, about 180 or so.

Hiya JT And Hullo TR How are things? |
Hey Smithy!
I think I like that "Smithy"
How many hours do you have in that angel Pol?
I didn't have much to work on there hun. I am glad you like it.
AD, Just the pattern was a day. I melded two other paterns and tweeked it. The woodworking was almost 20 hours alone. |
Yeah but once you have the pattern you have the pattern to make more. That's a one-time investment. And if you start cranking 'em out the time per unit will drop a little too. But that's still a lot of time. People are willing to pay for that kind of stuff. Good luck with it! |

Actually, that was a rush job. And with scroll saws, the grain of the wood is your biggest enemy. Remember, my saw blade is less than an 1/8 inch. It can be a stone cold biotch with pine and other thick grained wood.
