You are the parent. He is your son.

I don't know how old your son is, but I'm 21 and if I smoked I don't think I would ever smoke with my mom.
Although, I know plenty of people who have and do on a regular basis. It just really depends if you want to seem like more of a friend to your son or still keep your parent role. |

WOW, give the lady a break guys. I honestly do not see what the big deal on it is. I would much rather my child feel comfortable smoking around me then hiding it. And yea I be testing it to make sure it was good stuff.....lol. I think an open relationship is a good thing when it comes to your children. I mean it is not like he is out drinking and driving, killing or breaking into stores or something.

I'd have to be a better role model to my kids. I think it sends the wrong message. jmo.

I don't think it's morally wrong. even though some people would throw their hands in the air at the horror of it
but I do think it would blur the parent/child line. You are the mom and need to maintain that role. when the kid is a grown adult and capable of making independent mature lifestyle decisions, then is the time to establish the friend level relationship |

This is kinda what I have talked with him about...I try to not make him feel like smoking is so bad, cause it really isn't unless you have an addictive personality, but then if you do you are gonna have that no matter what and surely progress onto harder stuff, he has been smoking a while, he has had it rough, and I know it helps to relieve the stress of his overbearing father that he lives with..I rarely do it..but occasionally when feeling the need I do..for whatever reason..and I dont' think it is a horrible sin... |
