You could always go to a Widespread Panic concert and find a group of hippies to travel with.

Well I pretty serious, I can't take it much more..I loathe my job. I dread getting up in the morning and going there. Hummm did not exactly love my job either but I'm one that likes to eat and have a roof over my head. I don't think that homeless is all that it is cut out to be or something someone should joke about. I worked at my last job for 12 years was laid off a month ago. But homeless no way I'm too proud of a person to go where I don't have to be and feel for those that got there and don't want to be there. To me sorry those that have a job and throws it away for no reason are just lazy in my eyes. Plenty of homeless that would love to have your job. JMO |

Good point Kristi, her quitting her job would open up a job for someone else and even a place to live for another person...

you could practice being homeless and see how you like it
first stop brushing your teeth, homeless people can't afford toothpaste and dont usually have access to fresh water stop eating. homeless people can't afford food and have to rely on handouts and charity wait till it starts raining and go outside and stay there for at least 8 hours when it gets dark and you feel like going to bed go outside and find a place to spend the night outdoors. maybe you can take a blanket but no more than that showers? forget it. you might get a shower once a month at the mission if you're lucky health care? no such thing being homeless (or even "outdoors") is not something a person goes into willingly |

I moved from PA to FL 14 years ago. Just outside of Pittsburgh to Port Charlotte. Things are crappy all over. Up north the winters are cold, alot of hills if you have to walk, bleak and depressing. Down here it is flat, hot as hell and as the saying goes " poop runs down hill" and FL is the southern most part of the U.S. Is that a coincidence? Hang in there, you can run but you can't hide. Nothing is worse than being homeless and knowing that no one cares if you live or die. Stick with the job, too many people want one and don't have one. Really, it could be worse! Lean on family and friends, pray for help, take some deep breaths and let the stress roll off. You are better off alive and hating it than to be tied up, raped and tortured, and then killed slowly. God will save you if you let him, pray and have faith. You will see results. Hang in there please.

I am burnt out at my current job... too physical..have talked to HR about giving me a new one, which they have, but to no avail..I decided I will become a homeless person, it's easier, so what's the best state to be homeless in...??? any suggestions? I cannot tell if you are serious, joking, or simply feel sorry for yourself. I think this thread needs a little clarification. Well I pretty serious, I can't take it much more..I loathe my job. I dread getting up in the morning and going there. You have my sympathy that you do not enjoy your work. Ideally, we should all be able to do the work that we enjoy. Is it the work you don't like or the people that you work with? |

If you really want to get a taste of homeless life...volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen...maybe the people there will feel sorry for you...maybe one of them will take your "horrible" job off your hands...maybe they'll even let you have their cardboard box to sleep in! Yea...this thread really makes sense...*walks off in disgust* |
