Topic: ~Boston Bruins Quest For The Cup~ | |
---|---|
Awwwww!I'm starting to detect some uncertainty & deep concern behind these trivial & simplistic notions. We shall remove the Cup from Detroit with grace, dignity & true sportsmanship. But of course this approach is hinged upon the assumption that the Wings are going to compete w/ us on a professional level & not resort to some cheap tactics such as the Habs used in their ummm....game(lack of a better term)that is.But hey! look on the bright side of things;)there is always tractor pulls for U to participate in when the Cup leaves Detroit. p.s.Don't forget to say Good-Bye to the Lord Stanley Cup. We Await The Cup!! |

Oh! but I would strongly advise against hunting Mr.Bear.Below is a harrowing tale of what he is capable of when provoked. There is nothing ordinary about him whatsoever.I know of hunters who have shot their own feet off while attempting to outwit this extraordinary Bear.Others have lost the use of 1 leg from walking back into their own trap. The most unfortunate ones had their heads lopped off.His credentials are quite extensive & this is why he was chosen by the glorious Boston Bruins franchise. In my opinion this is a poor choice. You've been warned.
~A Bearifically Dreadful Tale~ I hope my poem does not raise serious alarm But a dreadful accident happened with Tom He was definitely warned so now I will tell His promise had rang just as clear as a bell He had twenty-four hrs.to unblock his friend But he chose to ignore until the bitter end He laughed then he snorted @ this bruin Bear Then he winked & teased without even a care His rumor traveled that he had a bald patch & his bearly butt & face was a perfect match His promise was growled,he did not take heed But Mr.bear's promise is his bearific creed So he strode on casually just poking w/fun His bravery is lying at the heel of his gun Nightfall closes in as he sits by the fire He has laid silly traps with wood and wire He sits there so confidant just like a champ But sweat and fear has made his clothes damp Well it's time to visit old fool-hearty Tom He pounced towards his camp with eerie calm He strolled up stealthily and he shouted Boo! Tom shat his draws and he peed them too :( Fumbling 4 his pea shooter smelling all ripe He loped off his head with a mighty swipe The crux of this tale has reached a sad end Prosper wisely then with the wisdom he lends Don't mess w/ his Bruins,U can plainly see Through co-existence we'll all live happily Mr.Bear & the Bruins await the Cup |

Zdeno Chara Named Norris Trophy Finalist This is the 2nd consecutive year that Boston's captain has been a finalist Boston Bruins Apr 23, 2009
BOSTON, MA - The NHL announced today that Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara is one of three finalists competing for the 2008-09 Norris Trophy, which is awarded "to the defensive player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.” Chara joins Mike Green from the Washington Capitals and Nicklas Lidstrom of the Detroit Red Wings as this year’s finalists. This is the second consecutive year Chara has been a finalist and third time in his career (2004 with Ottawa). Chara anchored a Bruins blue line that allowed the lowest goals per game figure in the NHL this season (2.29). He led the Bruins and ranked sixth overall in the league in average ice time (26:04) and finished the regular season with a career-high 19 goals, 31 assists and a +23 rating. His 19 goals ranked fourth in the league amongst all defensemen, while his 11 power play strikes ranked third.Chara’s average ice time (26:04), hits (169) and blocked shots (123) are the highest amongst the other two Norris finalists. Members of the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association submitted ballots for the Norris Trophy at the conclusion of the regular season, with the top three vote-getters designated as finalists. The winner will be announced Thursday, June 18, during the 2009 NHL Awards show that will be broadcast live from the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Hotel Las Vegas on VERSUS in the United States and on CBC in Canada. |
