Topic: I'm just a kid! | |

I wandered around like a little child
Looking for lost toys You know the sort of things I mean What's used by little boys Cars and boats and bikes and things And planes with silver wings Toy soldiers for fighting Footballs for kicking And other such toys that rings. Got bored with that So went outside To pull my neighbours hair Looked high and low And here and there But drat. She wasn't there. Went back inside to watch tv And asked mom if I could She said to me 'No. you can not. You're brain will start to rot She said to me then 'It's dinner time What do you want to eat? Burger, chicken, soup or fish. Now just look at your feet Have you been playing in the mud again? They really don't smell sweet Your hands look like you've just dragged Something in from off the street. I'm just a kid That's what we do I like to play outdoors I know that son But don't you think that's weird After all you're 44.' |

Very nice poem. I especially like the ending! You know? Sometimes we
all just need to be kids for a while. Lisa |
