I just watched the orginal version (edited) of Last House on the Left. That movie is so wrong, I heard the updated version is more graphic, especially the rape scene, my roomate almost threw up during that scene when she saw it in the theater, because she has been thru it.

That is what I have been told. The orginal version is like a documentary/snuff film. It was just sooooooooo wrong what they did to the 2 girls.

I saw the original version in a drive in movie. I never forgot it. It was intense. I can't imagine it getting more graphic. People should not watch that kind of crap. It desensitizes people.

The second feature showing at the drive in was The Salem witch trials. Also very disturbing.

I urge people not to watch that kind of thing. You get what you think about an put your attention on. This is not a good thing to be thinking about or putting your attention on.

Law of attraction.

Take heed.

I honestly feel that it is a movie parents should watch with there kids when they are teenages and up. It is a movie that shows what can happen to people who arent careful, It can be anybody, daughter, sister, mother, anyone. The question is how far would you go to hurt the ones that hurt someone you love. Also its not a question of putting your attention on something, its about making people especially parents that something like that can happen if they are not careful.

Your right most people who are raped (men and women) do not come forward mainly because they are to scared and I dont blame them, my roomate was raped by her ex husband, but she found the strength to move forward because she knew it wasn;t her fault, anyone that gets raped should know that it is not their fault. Some people do have a fantasy about having someone rape them because the idea of someone being in control turns them on, course it has to be consentual and boundaries have to be set, some of the outfits that teenage girls wear that show off more than what should be shown, usuall is a tool for people like in House On The Left to use to commit the rape

Wrong. You can make your children aware in a less graphic way. You should not let your children watch something like this. This kind of visual graphic information is not helpful, it is harmful and it instills fear.

I can understand that. As a parent of a 13 year old daughter, I will NOT let her watch it, mainly because of the rape scene, even though she knows that horror moveis are not real, she has seen Freddy vs Jason and she didnt even get scared. She is very mature for her age, also she knows not to talk to strangers. I do agree with the fact that you shouldnt install fear into a child, but they do need to be aware that there are people out there like that.

I don't know why anyone would want to place "blame" on the victim, especially the victim. Why would they feel it is "their fault anyway?"

The spiritual truth is that nothing can happen to you that you have not somehow created or attracted into your experience. Out of ignorance of the law of attraction, carelessness, stupidity, recklessness etc. These attitudes can draw bad things into your experience and can attract the wrong people into your experience.

If a victim feels it was their fault it is because unconsciously they know that they shared in the creation of that experience on an unconscious level.

There is no excuse for anyone assaulting or raping anyone and there is no reason to blame the victim. I don't think watching these kinds of films will help anyone. They are actually harmful because they deposit visions of rape and violence into the subconscious and if you think about it and focus on it then that visual experience will be drawn towards your personal reality & experience.

I do agree that no one deserves to be raped, I am just poiting out that, u ahve these 14 year old girls, wearing revealing outfits and the parents just let them, I am not trying to sound like a jerk, I am just speaking as a parent, if my daughter, came downstairs wearing an outfit that was revealing more than what should be exposed, I wouldnt let her go outside like that, because that is sending the wrong message

I totally agree. Innocent children dressing like hookers with their hormones running wild... its dangerous. Yes they should be warned... but damn... that movie is awful. I would not want to put my kids through it.

I saw it when I was a 17 year old virgin. It gave me a sick feeling. The new one, I am sure, is ten times worse. eeewww. Damn that was over 40 years ago.. sheesh.

I dont blame you, I wouldnt want to put my child thru that either. I dont blame the parents for doing to them what they did to their daughter, if it was my daughter, i would do the exact same thing, granted I know I should turn the other cheek and forgive but how can you forgive someone who does that to your daughter, or mom or sis.

The movie was a story about violent revenge, and the revenge part was the payoff. The audience was lead to and through a situation where they supported an unspeakable violent crime out of revenge.

So what is the message of the story? Take the law into your own hands? Survival of the fittest? Revenge? It asks the hypothetical question... what would you do? And it leads the audience to the conclusion... I would do the same thing they did.

Personally I don't like having my emotions toyed with like that, and I would never watch the movie again. What did I learn from it?
That anyone is capable of violence in the right circumstances.

Also, to be careful who you get into a car with.
