DID YOU KNOW? As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the
U.S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view .. it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments! DID YOU KNOW? As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door. DID YOU KNOW? As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments! DID YOU KNOW? There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C. DID YOU KNOW? James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement: "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God." DID YOU KNOW? Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ". DID YOU KNOW? Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777. DID YOU KNOW? Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies. DID YOU KNOW? Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law an oligarchy, the rule of few over many. DID YOU KNOW? The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said: "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers." How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional? It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, it is very hard to understand why there is such a mess about having the Ten Commandments on display or "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 |

AB honey; I am no authority. All I understand of the Bible and prayer is
that it is supposed to be through Jesus (the Son), that we get to God(mine),(god) to some. It is my hope that all who believe in God(mine) (or god) have a path to Him. hugs, Kat |

I sincerly hope that no christian is elected into office. Why?
I sincerely hope that some of you would regard me as a christian - so I'm not "anti-christian" in any sense. Fact is that politicians have to lie to keep their jobs. Its a "must have" trait. I dont want any further slander against christians from an oppurtunist president. just makes a mockery of the majority of good-hearted ppl who beleive. |

I really hope that just because we have corrupt politicians, doesn't
mean to some that all people who believe in a God, god, are the same. We put those idiots in office. When are we gonna wake up and see them for the lies and not what we want to believe? This country was built on a God based belief and leaders that were at least honest and what they said was what they meant. Before all the money came into play. I wish they were all like that Governor (Mayor?)in New York. He takes 1.00 a year as his pay for being their Governor. This is a guy that has his own money. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they used their own money to run for these offices, instead of using tax dollars and fund raisers to get their positions? Since when did it become so expensive to run for office? Why should we as citizens have to pay for their job hunt? No one pays for me to look for a job. It just irritates the hell out of me to hear people tear apart the Constitution. But, it is done everyday. It is like everything else. We can make it be what we want it to be. Our forefathers would roll over in their graves. Kat |
