i deal with this problem also. i find so little that really makes me happy.
sometimes i just have to remind myself that there is always someone worse off. it reminds me to not feel sorry for myself. on a side note, with all of the crap that is going on in the world, eventually there has to be someone who has it the worst. how fvcked has that persons life got to be. think about it. bobby mcferrin(sp): don't worry, be happy. . . . |

Happiness is Spiritual in nature.
You can't get it or lose it from money. You can't get it or lose it with luck. You can't get it or lose it with life circumstances, which are seasonal anyway. If you are unhappy, you are likely not living your life correctly and your sub-conscious is controlling your disposition. Have you tried eating pie? That seems to work. |

and of course thier are exceptions to rules but it not good enough for a rebuddle. read my last sentence carfully what do you derive from that? also, again age is meaningless for valitaty so dont bring it up. being older doesnt mean you have more experences in life. Paris hilton is older than me should I look to her for advice on happiness?

Who deserved happiness??? Deserve means hardship that you must go through to earn. So whos to say that anyone who has happiness now has ever gone through enough hardship to deserve it? Beautiful people are born with good looks. Catered all thier lives with women or men based on physical apperance even with a lack luster personality. Do they go through any hardships to deserve anything. Maybe Im a little drunk but the stance still holds true. Thier is no real happiness to those who truly deserve it. The problem here is that someone is searching for happiness outside of themselves. A person can be dirt poor, physically inflicted with pain every day, struggling in life and still be happy. Happiness is a state of mind and spirit, it is not given to anyone, they find it inside of themselves and keep it from that day forward no matter what happens in life. |

Happiness is a state of mind To be content is to be happy Someone always has it worse than you (cliche) God has all the answers An exception to a concept is everything no matter how rediculous Deserve means entitled That one girl has a crush on Mark well Ill try to sleep now good convo people Ill try to bring something confrintational again to see how upset people can get and how driven people become on emotion |

Paris hilton is older than me should I look to her for advice on happiness? Picking a better role model would solidify that age doesn't matter.. Then again there are those that are younger that are better... It's not age as much as it's the person... But age does do wonders to our attitudes.. I was a somewhat snotty brat that had the "why me" syndrome... I had kids, lived a little more and when I looked back I realized I was a snotty brat.. I even called my mother and apologized.. I can still look back every few years and see how I've grown since then... We need to always grown, learn and evolve otherwise we become stagnant, which is far different than contentment... |

Oh and if you want to know the only logical rebuddle to that is:
Our own perception of reality is simply driven on key concepts: Attitude Free will Maturity (not age, tried the best I can to argue it) Self richousness and last but not least Happiness or the lack their of YAY I LOVE YOU GUYS |

There's nothing wrong with the question and maybe it should have gone in the philosophy section being that it's a question from your philosophy professor.. BUT I think you personalized the thread a bit and that is why people thought it was "you".. There are ways to pose questions that veer it away from the personal or even the old "come right out and say it was a question in school and what are peoples thoughts... JMO....

JMO.... well you see if you noticed in people in general its easier to be objective when its not directed when you have a face to the subject its easy to aim anger or hate or whatever so it had to be me to see people mix emotion with logic |

very good point... Maturity is what we meant not age but well maturity is something most of us don't say b/c it feels "old" when used in some contexts....
