when you start a thread do you care how many replies and/or views it gets or are you just interested in getting whatever question you pose answered?

when you start a thread do you care how many replies and/or views it gets or are you just interested in getting whatever question you pose answered? I'm way more concerned about the quality of the replies than the quantity. Nobody ever understands my posts anyway, so I mostly just do it for typing practice. |

I'm interested in getting replies. More replies, more opinions. I have actually re-thought my firm beliefs after reading some of these. Never changed my mind...just considered it.
What I really dislike is answering a post, and killing the thread. And now that I've said that, this will be the end of this one. lol |

No. I've only started 3 0r 4 ever.

I haven't started many threads. However just trying to get an interesting topic started and to keep it going to keep people interested and entertained.

Ditto with Patsfan ... AND I agree with Lex.. its quality replies I read not Quantity

No I could use a little more typing practice too.

I generally want answers or viewpoints. If I didn't really care about the question I would not post the thread... those that reply to my infrequent threads know this and usually give me great insight and thoughtful replies.
I appreciate that. |

No, because I don't see it as a popularity contest. If I start a thread it is because I need advise or want to share views about something. The ones that post to it will give me heartfelt advise or share their ideas. What amazes me is the number of people that read different forums, not just my own, and then have nothing to add.

i prefer quality over quantity but i do hate it when people go in a thread i started be seeing you

I haven't started any threads yet. But I seem to have killed a few. Maybe I'm too wordy...or maybe I just have to have the last word?

most threads I look at and read the topic then close out of them.. trivial crap. and the ones who are sincere or klooking for some kind of input? I might say something....ooops I am here aren't I? well there goes that theory.

I've only started one or two threads, but I'm still a relative "newbie" to the forums. I don't worry if I don't get a lot of replies, given how many threads are started here every day. If my question gets answered, great, if not, I move on :) If it was a post I made just because something amused me, I'm not worried if no one responds...not everyone sees things as I do.

No, not really.

HUH???
I don't get it! when you start a thread do you care how many replies and/or views it gets or are you just interested in getting whatever question you pose answered? I'm way more concerned about the quality of the replies than the quantity. Nobody ever understands my posts anyway, so I mostly just do it for typing practice. |

If i make a thread and it does get to at least 10 pages i get really angry and then have to go out and murder a prostitute.
