I don't look at many profiles, (mostly I write to those who write to me
first, as I am fairly shy), but if you read someone's profile and like
it and feel comfortable doing so, then sure, why not drop a line and let
the other person know that you like their profile? IMHO, most people
like to know that other people appreciate their efforts.

Sure if I see something I like I'll send an innocent note letting them
know what it is that caught my attention (as well as a Hi)...

Although I do find it a bit rude if I don't get a reply at least saying
"Thanks"... I don't know why lack of manners bothers me, but it does....

When I first joined, did plenty of them, but with a response rate of
.01%, the mood has changed to – Why bother. There is much more
interaction here on the threads

If I see something that really catches my attention and I like I would

I have a few, there was one that was really cute, think he was from
Tennessee. Had the greatest profile, really creative, made me laugh. I
wrote him and told him I thought it was one of the best I had seen. He
wrote me back and thanked me, and we e-mailed a couple of times, was a
nice guy. I still remember part of it. Something like, "my house is
not now and has never been on wheels, my teeth and hair are my own, I
don't have a gun rack in my house or my truck" - I can't remember it all
but it was great.

But have told a few I thought they were creative and wished them luck.
Think they did respond with a thanks.
