Topic: Rebound Love... | |
---|---|
I have a question, because I feel a certain way for someone and I really am into her and we have a great time and I am truly developing feelings for her...
I was married for 15 years... up till about 5 years ago... I immediately got into a relationship with a girl about 16 years younger than me. after 4 years she literally dumped me saying that she's too young bla bla bla... Now... I have given this a ton of thought because I believe in relationships and commitment. The more I think about it, the more I come to the realization that my rebound relationship may have been with the girl I was with for 4 years... It just last 3 and a half years longer than it should have. I was so happy to be with a young vibrant girl that It never occurred to me that it probably wasn't going to last forever (Hindsight) Is this just wishful thinking? |

The age difference often times plays a big part of it, maturity levels, difference in interests etc. I know myself , I don't go out to clubs or do some of the stuff that I use to when I was in my 20's, although those were good times

There is absolutely nothing wrong with an age difference. It is only a number. It has to do with maturity and how well you get a long.
If you are compatible or not. If you have things in common, but yet know how to be your own individual. No, rebound dating is never a good idea. You must give yourself time to find who you are again. |

Well it's funny... I didn't like to go to clubs with her, I don;t really know why... just didn't have that much fun.
But since I have met this new lady, she's 36, I find that I LOVE to dance with her and we have gone to a couple clubs and I actually have a ton of fun. |

Age might be just a number but I can tell you from experience that if there is a pretty big gap in age then you don't have so much in common and this can make it difficult to maintain a good and growing relationship. I have found that it's much easier dating men around my own age and maybe just a little older because we do have more likes/dislikes in common.

Perhaps it was just a matter of finding the right one. I hope this one works out well for you |

I hope this one works out well for you Thank you. I do too... I am really finding I care for this person. It is weird, but I feel younger with someone my one age than I ever did with the younger girl... Anyway... I'm rambling |
