Just want to know what you all think. Me personally, was not impressed.
I hated Oscar for a long time, but felt he should have won this fight.
Mayweather did like a boxer should, and played a good defense, although
could have been the aggressive one in the fight, according to the
comments he made prior to the fight. Judges can look at things
differently. If you recall, Taylor vs Hopkins was almost like the same.
Although the young fighter had to chased the more experienced champ
around. Judges scored in favor of the up and comer for the
aggressiveness and total punches thrown. So what did you all think?
Did Mayweather leave gracefully? Or is there more out there to prove?
Should there be another fight? Should Mayweather fight Mosley, who went
down in weight to fight Floyd?

Thanks for tryin' Harry..I will see it tomorrow..I had someone in town
tape it for me..

But I think Faust gave me about what I expected from this fight.

I said that De La Hoya could take Floyd if he could catch him..Floyd
just ran too fast..I expected that too..

Thanks again, Harry and Faust..drinker drinker

Thanks Bibby. Yeah Suger Shane Mosely would rip into Floyd. He doesn't
want any. I just think that Floyd Mayweather Sr. said it best when he
said what he had to say about the fight. I couldn't agree more. I like
how Larry Merchant also gave Mayweather a hard time about all destroying
De La Hoya and such. Larry pretty much dogged him out. It was funny.

I think it's freakin gay that all the fights are PPV now. Is boxing a
yuppie sport now??

I think they are trying to make more money. Everyone is aware that it
is becoming more of a dying sport. I love watching boxing, but people
are turning to UFC now. Remember when it was fun to watch heavy weight
boxing? Not anymore. So I can understand that now. Plus, when you
have baseball and other sports on, it is hard to make time for boxing.

If your a broke ass, it's also hard to watch a GOOD fight, cuz they're
all on PPV. What happened to the days when you could put on regalur
antenna TV and be able to see a great fight? I think that's another part
of why folks ain't watchin boxing anymore, it's too damn expensive to
watch a possible 2 rounds of boxing. $50???? For MAYBE 4 fights???
No way.

My take:

Oscar produced the fight. It was all about money. He wasn't crazy about
letting is beautiful face be all punched in. And the money is in the
next fight. Oscar lost this one, aiming with long beams towards the next
fight that Golden Boy Promotions will produce. And he will be producing
the rematch as well, if there is a rematch, which I highly doubt there
will be one. Golden Boy Productions then will produce the first defense
of "Pretty Boy" Mayweather. People will want to see him get his @$$
kicked. And that's where the money is.

Reportedly, Oscar raked in over $75,000,000. PPV, productions,
advertising and his bag.

He announced his retirement from boxing. But this ain't the last thing
we hear from the Golden Boy.

I'm a boxing aficionado, love boxing, Known as the boxing bible between
my friends, I saw the fight, and ain't no way in hell, that Floyd won
that fight i have it Oscar winning 115-113, If you want to be a champ
you have to take it away from him, Oscar did it against Trinidad for 3
round and lost the fight, Floyd did it for the whole fight and end up
winning the fight, That is incredible, you don't win a fight piddi
paddleling thru it.

I am sorry Izzy, but Floyd took less punches than Oscar, landing more
punches than him. He protected his jaw all the time, and Oscar couldn't
get close to it.

How long ago was the fight with Tito? How old was Oscar then? How old is
Floyd?

Oscar is not old, by no means, but his heart wasn't on that fight, it
was on the bag, and in the rematch. He fought courageously, but Floys
clearly won.

Go to www.lomejordelboxeo.com and read Juan Carlos Tapia comments...
sorry hun, but Floyd won the fight.

I think oscar was a little passive. When he pushed the fight it was
going good for him, not great but good. He did not land as many clean
punches. That what hurt him.

Exactly! he didn't land many punches, whereas Floyd landed most of his.
